IAMCP - Louisiana Chapter September 2008 Quarterly Update
The Louisiana Chapter of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (IAMCP) would like to invite you to our September Quarterly Update Meeting be held at Fox and The Hound. This is a fun event where you can meet other Microsoft partners in our area, along with Microsoft reps, Erin Simmons and Jeff Lowery, who are in town to meet area partners.
When: Tuesday, September 30, 2008. 5:30PM-7PM

The event is FREE to IAMCP members and $10 for guests and non-members.  For new members - receive a $10 credit toward your membership.

The concept of “Software as a Service” – on-demand access to remote hosted applications or services – is neither new nor particularly complex. For several years solution providers have been hearing about an on-rushing SaaS locomotive that would render the traditional “re-sale” model obsolete or at least completely transformed and the basic structure of hosted solutions is widely understood. But for all the hype and analyst chatter, not much has changed about the way mainstream customers buy or use software … yet. So the critical question is this: will SaaS actually become a viable platform in the mass market – and if so, will the impact be positive or negative for solution providers?
